Hunting for paid keynote gigs costs you billable days

  • You read a promising call for speakers top to bottom, then find the compensation line says exposure and a conference pass.
  • Fee details sit on a separate page, in a PDF, or only in the organizer's reply, so you pitch first and learn the terms later.
  • Travel and hotel coverage changes what a gig is actually worth, and you rarely have that number when you decide to apply.
  • Once proposals go out, you lose track of which ones you followed up on and what your year of speaking has really earned.
What you get

Built for speakers who treat keynotes as a business

Every feature points toward the same outcome: more of your pitching hours going to stages that pay what you charge.

01

Fee floor in your profile

Record the minimum fee you accept along with your travel and virtual preferences. Matching uses it as a filter and a scoring factor.

02

Worth Check on every match

Each call gets a verdict against your fee floor: Worth it, Negotiate, or Skip. You see the reasoning next to the listed compensation and travel coverage.

03

Compensation pulled from the call

Discovery extracts paid or unpaid status, any fee range, and travel or hotel coverage, so the money details appear on the match card.

04

Pipeline and ROI tracking

Track proposals through submitted, accepted, declined and completed. Record fees and travel value, and watch your booked value total grow.

05

Follow-ups on autopilot

Marking a proposal submitted sets a follow-up reminder for the later of 14 days out or 10 days after the deadline, with email templates ready to send.

06

A speaker page that takes bookings

Publish a page at worththepitch.com/s/your-name with your bio, headshot, topics and signature talks. The Invite to speak form sends inquiries to your inbox, and Growth and Pro listings are featured in the speaker directory.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Can I see only paid speaking opportunities?

Set your fee floor in your profile and matching treats compensation as a hard filter and a scoring factor. Each match shows paid or unpaid status, any fee range, and travel coverage, and the Worth Check verdict tells you at a glance whether the listed terms meet your floor.

What do Worth it, Negotiate and Skip mean?

Worth Check compares each call's listed compensation and travel coverage with your fee floor. Worth it means the terms meet your floor. Negotiate means the call is close enough, or strategic enough, to justify asking for more. Skip means the terms fall well short of what you accept.

What if a call does not list a fee?

Many organizers leave fees off the public call. When compensation is missing or unclear, the match card says so and the fit score reflects the uncertainty. These calls are often worth a short inquiry, and the Negotiate verdict helps you spot the ones where a conversation about budget makes sense.

How much should a keynote speaker charge?

Keynote fees vary widely by audience, industry, expertise and demand, from honorariums at smaller events to substantial fees for well-known names. Our guide on how much to charge for speaking walks through the factors. Once you pick a number, save it as your fee floor so every match is judged against it.

How does the speaker page help me get booked?

Your page at worththepitch.com/s/your-name shows your bio, headshot, topics and signature talks, with an Invite to speak form that sends inquiries straight to your inbox. You can list it in the speaker directory at /speakers/, where listings are reviewed for quality and Growth and Pro members are featured.

Can I track what my speaking actually earns?

Yes. The pipeline tracks each proposal as submitted, accepted, declined or completed. Record the fee and travel value on each engagement, and your booked value totals update automatically. When you land one, the share your win generator drafts a post you can publish.
