Get set up in 10 minutes

This guide takes you from a new account to your first drafted proposal. Most speakers finish in about ten minutes.

1. Create your account

1. Go to the sign-up page and choose Create account.
2. Enter your Name, Email, and a Password of at least 12 characters.
3. Open the confirmation email and click the link. Matching, proposals, and billing turn on once your address is verified. If the email is missing, click Resend link in the banner at the top of the app.

The Free plan needs no card.

2. Build your profile

Your profile drives every match score and every proposal, so it is worth a few minutes. Open the Profile tab. You have two options.

• Profile Autopilot: upload your bio, CV, or one-sheet (PDF, Word, or text) or paste the text, then click Build my profile. You get a full preview in about a minute. See how Profile Autopilot works.
• Fill in the form yourself: complete About you, What you speak about, and Logistics & fees.

The fields that matter most for matching:

• Topics, most important first
• Ideal audiences and Industries
• Strategic goals, such as paid keynotes or university conferences
• Target conferences & associations, which we search first
• Excluded topics, which filter calls out before scoring

3. Set your fees and match threshold

1. In Logistics & fees, enter your Minimum speaking fee (USD) if you have one. Leave it blank if you are flexible.
2. Tick the boxes that apply: Virtual events, Will travel, International calls, and Consider unpaid opportunities.
3. Under Languages you present in, choose each language from the dropdown. English is set for you. Calls that need a language you don't list are skipped, and each language you add beyond English gets its own searches.
4. If you ticked International calls, choose up to three countries under Countries to search. We search each one in its own language and in English, translate the calls into English, and list them under the International tab in Matches.
5. Leave the Minimum match score slider at 70 for your first week. You can tune it later.
6. Click Save profile.

4. Add a signature talk

Open the Talks tab and click through the Add a talk form: title, short description, abstract, topics, audiences, duration, and format. Click Save talk. Proposal drafts adapt these talks to each event when one fits.

5. Run your first match

Open the Matches tab and click Check for new matches. Scoring runs in the background, so you can keep working. Each call gets a fit score from 0 to 100 with the reasons shown. Read what the match score means to get the most from it.

6. Draft your first proposal

Pick a strong match and click Draft proposal. The Proposal studio reads the conference's application form and drafts an answer for every field. Learn more in drafting proposals.

The Getting started checklist

Until you finish setup, the Matches tab shows a checklist with five steps: Verify your email, Complete your profile, Add a signature talk, Run your first match, and Publish your speaker page. Click any step to jump to it. The checklist hides itself once all five are done.

Common questions

Why do I see no matches yet?

Check that your email is verified and that you have saved at least a few topics. If your minimum match score is high, try lowering it to 65 and check again.

Can I find calls in other countries?

Yes. Tick International calls, choose up to three countries, and save your profile. The first searches for a new country run within a day, and its matches appear under the International tab.

How often do matches update?

Matches refresh automatically after you change your profile and every 6 hours in the background. You can also click Check for new matches at any time.
